Idaho’s beef industry and livestock producers have gained the support of Senators Risch & Crapo, who have introduced & sponsored this bill. ICA’s letter of support will be submitted to each of the bill sponsors, Senator Jim Risch (ID), Senator Mike Crapo (ID), and Senator Cynthia Lummis (WY), for their presentation at the appropriate time to the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. 

This proposed bill has been introduced, read twice and referred to the Committee on Environment and Public Works. In order to pass, it would need to be heard and reported out of committee to the full Senate. Upon approval, it would also need to travel to the House to be heard & accepted before being sent for Presidential approval for full passage as law.
